  1. From where??? What is your starting point? Incidentally, Metrolink does not serve Huntington Beach. The closest station to Huntington Beach would be Irvine where you could transfer to an OCTA bus from there to Huntington Beach. If however you are coming from LA Metrolink may not be the best choice for you. Two other options may work better. First OCTA has a direct bus route from Downtown LA to Huntington Beach OCTA #721 which is an express route weekdays only. Secondly, if you can get to Cal-State Long Beach from your starting point for example Downtown LA using the Blue Line train to the Del Amo station then Long Beach Transit #172 to Cal State LB, you could catch the OCTA Coast Highway bus #1 which travels all the way from Cal State LB through the various coastal communities including Huntington Beach to the San Diego county line in San Clemente. In conclusion the "Where" you are starting from plays a big role in the directions & options. Good Luck!

  2. does your beach have to be hungton beach as metrolink has direct service to San Clemete and Ocennside beaches

otherwise its train ride and then 2 buses

there is anoter optation (it means leaving early)

OCTA has a commuter route from the gallleria at Tyler

the last bus departs there at 7:37am but it goes to South coast plaza

where you can change to the Octa 57 which does go to Huntington beach

this  is the schedule for teh commuter bus

I belive the fare is $3.75 per person  then $1.25 on the next bus

(using metrolink will be a bit higher)
