How much would it be to go to Cedar Point for the weekend?

Yeah I've been to Cedar Point about 5 or 6 times but with friends. && my mom wants to stay for the weekend you know Friday, Saturday, && Sunday. She wants to stay in a hotel. There will be 5 people going how much would that be?

It's not going to be cheap...but here is my estimate:

Hotel (if you all cram into one room...someone will be sleeping on a rollaway or on the floor...if you want 2 rooms, double the price)- $500 for 2 nights (Friday night and Saturday night)

Tickets (1 Ride and Slide Ticket...gets you two days in Cedar Point and Soak City... and 1 Regular Admission Ticket...one day at Cedar Point... for each person- it's the best deal)- $574.50

Food (for lunch and dinner for 3 days at $12.50 a person)- $375

Now this is one expensive mini vacation, but there are ways to lower the price.  Because of all the people who go to Cedar Point, the hotels really raise their prices during the summer, that's why I have the price of a hotel for two nights being $500 (that's for your typical Comfort Inn, Best Western, type hotels).  If you are willing to stay about 15 minutes away, the prices decrease.  At the Red Roof Inn in Milan (around 10-15 minutes south of Sandusky), a hotel room for two days would only cost $280.98.  

Another way to lower the cost of food is to visit a grocery store when you get to your hotel (the town depends where you are staying), buy picnic-ey type food and pack your food in a cooler and eat in the picnic pavilions.  You cannot take the cooler into the park, but you can leave the park gates, walk 500 feet and eat your food, then reenter the park...just make sure you get a handstamp before leaving the gate!  This will save you a lot of money!

Another way to save on hotels and park tickets would be to go to AAA if your family is a member.  By going through AAA, you can save on tickets and hotel costs!

Is one person paying for it all??

3 night in a hotel for 2 rooms will be about $500 unless they are doing a special.

3 day addmision to the Point for 5 people is about $300. Food and everything is an addition also..dont know how much will be spent on that.

So about $800 plus food.

My mom and family is acually up there right now..went there and Kellys Island. Havent been there in years..live in FL now but going to move back to Ohio next year. Have Fun!!!!
