  1. It doesn't work that way in the US.  Professional pilot training costs $25,000-$50,000, and then you build time for a few years, and, at some point, you start applying to the airlines or major corporate flight operations.  You may be hired if the position is available and you have the right qualifications and experience.

Maybe, maybe not.  There is no "guaranteed hiring" in the US.  No "cadet programs" (outside the military) and no "direct hiring."  It's a matter of dedication and talent.

  2. It cost me $60,000 from the private pilot's license to the ATP.To do the Private only you can probably get away with $15,000.Then instrument rating, commercial,CFI(to build hours),multi engine and the last one is ATP(after at least 1500 hours of flight time,so do the math).

In the US,there is no Cadet Program or guaranteed hiring as the previous contributors mentioned..

The main thing is to build hours and dedication(like most other things). You really have to love it to do it.Getting into an airline is like getting the prettiest girl in school.First, you will think that is out of your reach. But if you stick to it and be persistent, may be one day she will hold your hand and walk away.

I know that is a lot of money. But please do not let anyone say that you can't do it.If you truly love it,you will be there one day.I remember one of my CFI told me one day that I would never pass the Private. It took me a while. But I would humbly like to say to those instructors that not only I finished the Private,I also did my ATP as well.

So,hold on tight to your dreams.

    THANKS
