We have a pre-fab concrete garage with a corrugated felt roof that needs to be demolished. How much would it cost to get someone in to do the job (just a rough idea). We have no access for vehicles to get in but it does all unscrew apart into panels.

  1. I really think you have the best answer more than once. many working people would like a garage but cannot afford one. Put a couple of cards up in your local supermarket, tobacconist , newsagents etc notice boards - FREE to who ever can dismantle and take away. I did this with a similar garage to yours and a card in my local Morrisons resulted in the garage going within 72 hours at no cost to me at all.

  2. How big is it, and what state are you located in?

It's getting rid of the concrete that will drive the price up.

  3. A liter of gas and a match,just kidding.

Here in the USA for this we would use a roll off and dismantle. This is not very labor intensive but extremely safety intensive.

Common sense and determination should have it done in a weekend.

    My Best

  4. hi cookie  i would do it for 500quid  all gone in one day

  5. advertise it as free to anyone who dismantles and removes.

I am sure there must be someone looking for a garage!

make sure u have no asbestos in the roof tho.

If it is asbestos you can remove it for  free  yourself  you will get all the advice from your council F but would cost a few hunderd pounds if u had a contractor to do it.

  6. If you have some time before clearing the site, why not join your local Yahoo Freecycle group and offer the garage 'for free' . Then the dismantling and removal is their problem !

Otherwise, in the UK , you would need one or two waste skips at perhaps £ 120 each,  plus a couple of labourers, at £100 - 150 per day , so guesstimate is £5 -600 , possibly £1000 . But remember, its all dependant on someone giving you a quote.
