  1. if it's just to look at, you can go to any strip mall and get a cheap *** sword to look at. you can go to century martial arts (use your browser to get the link) ...and buy a set pretty cheap with a stand or wall hangers...3 swords, long, medium, short. or wakizashi, katana, and tanto. ..if its just to look at...you probably wont need much to maintain it since it wont be outside or being used.

seems like a wast of money to buy a good sword but...

  2. well it originally depends on who who customizes it originally at fanime i got a couple kitana sword replicas (ex the last samurai, anime swords) for about 30. so if people sold swords at fanime convention for 30 (real steel, blade, handle, design) then i would say it wouldnt cost that much more or less if bought anywhere else

  3. To purchase an authentic, properly crafted sword would cost you 2500-5000. I would assume a custom made sword would be much higher.

  4. you may check at http://www.handmadesword.com

a good website for samurai swords.

  5. I've got a set of two if you really want something like this. They are the long and short and go for $1000 total. It includes a wall hanging stand, and the cleaning kit which is really cheap anyway.
