Here's a link to a sample round trip from Chicago to Prague, May 15-June 1, airflight only, $867 on American Airlines. Add food, lodging and souvenirs of about $60/day (if you stay at an inexpensive place) -- the total would be about $1800.

Travel agencies would probably be able to set up a cheaper package if you book airplane, lodging and train tickets through them.
