I'm sure it costs something. When I first got my policy, they asked me if I had a trampoline.

  1. it doesnt cost anything

  2. Help yourself:) You can easily check quotes in internet, for example here: http://home.my-age.net

  3. The only real way to find out is to ask for some quotes.  Some insurance companies will refuse coverage if there is X, Y or Z on the premises.

  4. You ned to call your agent as every carrier as different rules. When our kids had one there was not an additional charge and we have State Farm.

  5. It really depends on your company. Each of the companies that we work with in our agency handle certain liability exposures such as trampolines differently.

Some of them do not charge anything but require that it has the safety net around it.  Others will charge a surcharges that can be any where from 5%-20%, some companies will exclude liability coverage for things like trampolines while others won't allow us to write a home with a trampoline exposure.

The only way to know for sure is to ask your agent or company.  But before you do that I would suggest getting alternative quotes from other companies first in case the surcharge is too high or your current company cancels your policy.

When getting alternative quotes it is important to get as many quotes as possible.  This will increase your chances of finding not only the best premium with a trampoline exposure but you might even save money over what you are currently paying.

One of the easiest ways to get multiple quotes is to use free on-line rating services.

Some of the better ones are:

These services are free and their sites are secure.  For a complete list of these services not only for home but auto, life, heath, business, motorcycle, etc I would suggest going to http://www.InsuranceEasy.org

This is one of the best consumer insurance sites that I have seen to date on the internet. I have referred many of my out of state family and friends (states where I am not licensed). Most all of them have saved money on their auto and home insurance.

I hope this helps and good luck!
