How much would it cost to call from the UK to Canada?

I live in England and have a BT Home Hub phone thingy, and i have a good friend in Canada that i wanna call but the thing is i have nooo idea how much it's going to cost per minute, so could you help me?

Call BT and ask them how much a minute it costs to Canada.  I live in Canada with family in UK, I do know it is cheaper for me to call UK than for them to call here.  But it's really not that much to call.

Canada is a big country -  7400 km give or take, from Atlantic to Pacific. The price of a phone call would vary depending on where in Canada you are calling. Best to call your provider to get an accurate quote.

If you both have computers with Internet connection, Yahoo. Google, Skype and several others supply free calling using the computer. Most computers come with sound systems but if yours doesn't, you need a sound card, speakers and a mike. If you would have the Internet connection anyway, then these calls are, for all intents and purposes, free. I talk from Ottawa, Canada to Pretoria, South Africa almost daily for nothing.
