  1. Pretty simple if you can find a donor car. Find one at a wrecker and get the tranny, flywheel, cross member, shifter and pedal assembly. Get the console as well if you can. Buy a new clutch kit (Dynapak) machine the flywheel and go at it. I'd guess you could do it for under $1000.

  2. hey bro i suggest you just go out and get an camaro that is an manual because it will cost way to much i was planning to do that to an toyota supra but i ask my teacher and he said its better off getting an manual beacause u aleast have to pay 5,000 for a new tranny and then u have to change the gear ratio its not worth it

  3. I converted a 1990 prelude from auto to standard, this would be more time consuming and costly than your camaro I would imagine. I had to fabricate trans mounts and slave cylinder, pedal cluster, clutch fluid reservoirs, shift linkage, etc. Fortunately you don't need some of these things, also my car was foreign so its more expensive. After I was all said and done I spent around $700-$800.

As for doing it yourself, it could be done. Do some research try to find someone with the same car or go to the junkyard and find one that is standard and take pictures and look for differences between different parts and mounts and things of that nature. I honestly don't see it costing over $1000 if you shop right.

good luck be patient a lot of headaches but its all worth it in the end
