Question:

How much would it cost to fix my iPod without a warranty?

My iPod's warranty just went out about a month ago and the screen totally went dead. The screen has turned white and blue with little squiggly lines on it. How much do you think I'd have to pay for them to repair the screen without any warranty? Would it cost as much as going out and just buying a new one?

(BTW, I have the 2nd generation iPod nano)

  1. You could buy a refurbished nano for the same amount or less than it would cost to send yours to Apple to have it fixed.

  2. Let's just say your better off buying a new one, or renewing the warranty. The warranty I believe is only $20. to be renewed, but you might want to double check on that.

  3. From what I understand, it costs between $50-100 for apple to fix it if you mail it in depending on the damage. I also don't think they let you create a warranty on an already damaged item.

However, if you'd like, I sell Dopple mp3 players online which you might be interested in. They are very similar in form and function, with a few extra bonuses. They are also much cheaper than reparing your iPod or getting a new one.

  4. the ipod at apple more at little game stores not like gamestop 30$and under
