I want to get a tattoo that says my man’s name.

-how much would that tattoo cost?

-or how much does a tattoo cost?

-where would a best place be at to put a tattoo?

I work at a restaurant serving food and I don’t want to show it at work. I don’t like tattoos on my back or anywhere near it and not on my shoulder. I also don’t want to put a tattoo on my ankle or anywhere near it and not on the leg. Oh yeah, not on my neck either.

-so where would a best place be to place a tattoo?

(help me out here) (tattoo is not going to be medium or large, it’s going to be small)

  1. Most shops charge a minimum of $50/piece and $60/hour.  Prices are raised if you want color and if the artwork is custom.  The best place to put a tattoo if you dont want them on your back or shoulder would be on your chest, arm or on your front side torso area (hips, pelvis, etc.).  Small tattoo of man's name... from what I've seen a tattoo like that is popular on the upper side of the mammary gland.  Hope this helps!

  2. Cost of your tattoo: The rest of your life.

Best place to put a tattoo: on a drum

But if you are determined, the back of the neck, very close to the hairline, seems to be a popular place for ladies to place their man's name.

  3. It all depends. The thing about  tattoos are that the price varies, depending on elements such as the location of a tat (of course one on the foot would cost more than one on your upper arm), COLOR (a color tat2 would cost more than an all black one), size (a smaller tat would clearly cost less than a big one), Detail....the more detail the more money, and of COURSE the shop....Getting a tat done by Miami Ink (TV show) would cost more than getting a tat done at ur local shop. I have 6 of them, and I have some words, medium to small. you said ur getting a small one,,,,,so ur lookin at 40-60....like I said, depending on the font and design. Maybye 30 if ur lucky. I wouldnt suggest getting ANY name tattoo on u unless its ur name, a dead person close to u, or ur mother....or fam member. A BF's name isnt a good idea no matter how in love u r, sh*t happens, and if u want it off u have to get laser which cost more and hurt more, or a cover up which usually ends up being a huge tattoo. BUT imma let u do YOU...its ur money and body. BUT u should stick 2 the classic upper arm tat. i work at a restaurant also and i have a wrist tat which is not a prob bcuz noone rlly sees it, and I could wear a watch or long sleeves to an interview. Another good place is on ur side...under ur arms, or on ur breast! Its ur man's name....soooo....he prob would b the only one seeing it right??? lol...but yeah....no one walking past would just SEE those.

PS....Go into the shop b4 u get the tat and get an estimate. Dont 4get to include the tip....and the tattoo goo or whatever aftercare they sell there....so add all that up....and i think you should walk up in that piece with at least 65-70 dollars. Hope this helped! ;)....and make sure they give u a new needle!

  4. With all due respect "Nancy" and having tattoo's myself, I have to wonder why anyone does anything that is permanent on a body, for a situation that may be temporary? A great example is a Yellow Pages ad on TV of a young woman in the future looking for tattoo removal, deleting MIKE as she is getting married to DAVID.

Beyond the fact that you're in the wrong category, unless you intend some self TAT method, the prices might range from $60 to hundreds of $$ depending on what you can afford, and/or the TAT you want.

There is NO BEST PLACE. My opinion is, and I am guilty, a TAT "SHOULD" be visible, or what is the purpose??? Obviously SLEEVES or NECK,FACE, etc. Tats in a service occupation might be a sure sign of NON employment, and your MANS name could as easily be embroidered on a T shirt or ball cap. Perhaps there are other issues???

Anyone who "engraves" anothers body, hopefully isn't in it just for the $$$, and there are hundreds of ARTISTS out there who INK people. They don't often care what your motive is, but they might on occasion want their ART displayed, maybe even recommended.

  5. Take a picture of the tattoo to your local shop and ask the man who knows. And why in the world would you want something that will cost more to have it changed or removed than to get it in the first place.

  6. just out of curiousity, why bother?  If you can't show it (and I won't hire anyone at my restaurant/bar business with a tattoo or piercing that can't be hidden) why go all the trouble, pain and expense?  Unless you go for a tramp stamp above the butt crack, there isn't much left except maybe inside your lower lip. Ouch.   Have you seen the commercial for Yellow Pages with the bride who needs to get her ex-boyfriend's  name removed before her wedding?
