i was just wondering how much it would cost to actually get into the uni,

and how much text books would cost

Look at the cost of tuition per semester.  Text books are expensive.  There are some tricks to getting cheap books, find out your schedule of classes and then before the end of the semester, go to the bookstore and buy the USED books, they are cheaper.  Share books with a room mate or someone that lives in the same dorm.  There are websites that also offer "college text books" at cheaper prices... maybe even Amazon. com

Plan to spend $300 - 500 on books per semester.  You can always sell back books that  you aren't going to ever use again.  In your English classes, don't buy all the books before the class, see what the professor is going to assign.  This is when you might be able to share.... you read it then your friend reads it .
