What is a realistic ballpark figure for the cost to hire someone to paint my living room and hallway. The living room is pretty large (im guessing about 32 x 15 including the attached dining room) with 12 ft. ceilings and a very short hallway to the master bedroom. I need just the walls painting (no molding or ceilings) and is just a simple color that is darker than what is on the walls now. We live in KS! Any information would be helpful! Thanks!

  1. Go to craigs list - My sister just got her house panted and a fence built by a contractor for half price because she paid him cash! The best part he did an amazing job !!

  2. Cost, I won't be able to help you with, but I do have a few recommendations. Get a licensed painter, ask for his quote and EXACTLY what you want and what he will do in writing. Painting "just the walls" takes a lot of time and prep work - taping any and all moldings, corners, ceiling lines, door frames and window frames. Covering the floors, furniture, etc. Not an easy job. Actually, it is the prep that takes so much time and not the painting - that's the easy part. Good luck - LT

  3. You need some one to look at it first.  That would be the best thing to do.
