How much would it cost to install a CD player into my car?

all i have is a cassette player and a radio but i prefer CDs. how much would that cost do you think?

also if anyone knows anything about how to play an ipod in the car and could recommend products that'd be great. i tried the belkin fm adapter thing but it didn't work well.

i've looked at cassette adapters online but i get from reviews that they don't last too long.

couple hundred bucks should get you a decent cd/am/fm deck, you can also get them with an input for your Ipod.  install it yourself and save a few bucks or et a stereo shop to do it for $50.00 or so.

What year and kind of car do  you have ? What kind of system is in it. I can tell you  what the average shop will charge give you model numbers to parts required for the installation and some good radio recommendations with more information.
