  1. I don't think it's legal to own a tiger personally... unless you are looking after it along others in the zoo?

  2. DONT GET A TIGER AS A PET!!!

Unless you run a zoo/preservation center/habitat, do not try to acquire a tiger.  The animals in these places are not considered pets and are treated as wild animals, WHICH THEY ARE!  The tigers in the circus and other attractions live rough lives many time couped up in small cages not able to live as tigers should.

  3. An arm and a leg LOLOL

  4. One and the most damning is you'd have endless amounts of red tape to go through to make it legal for you to own and keep a tiger.  And for good reason.  Tigers are not just big kitty cats.  They are very dangerous, not used to living in captivity, and not domesticated at all.  Just ask Roy from Seigfreid and Roy.  His tiger had worked with him for years, but got spooked onstage and nearly killed Roy, even though the tiger was probably trying to protect Roy.

But since you asked, here you go:

You need at least 3 acres if not more of land for the tigers to live on.  land prices vary greatly.

Next you will need a 16 foot wall around the 3 acres or more so the tiger cant escape.  That will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Next you will need a vet who specializes in tigers, that will cost thousands if not more, especially if the tiger gets sick.

Certainly you will have to pay a large amount of money for a permit to own the tiger and likely have to pay for regular visits from inspectors to make sure the tiger is healthy and the tiger is not at risk of escaping.

You will spend hundreds of dollars on food each week.

In the end it will cost millions of dollars to care after a tiger.
