How much would it cost to paint a 1989 chevy 1500 with some rust. How much to put a 454 in it (its a 350)?

The Rust is under the doors. It isnt a lot.

you will be looking at about a grand or less depending on whether or not the garage you take it does body work to it or not, as far as putting a larger motor it requires moving your motor mounts.( the things that hold your motor in the vehicle. if it is to large it will not work, they have to match or you are looking at more money for it. like about one to two grand that is plus parts for all.

it all depends on the shop but if you can find maby an old retired mechanic he'l do it for cheaper than a shop and try pep boys for the cheapest engine my brother dropped a brand new 350 in his 85 gmc sierra got the engine from pep boys and saved 1000 bucks but you can paint the truck yourself go to a tractor supply co and buy tractor implement its realy thick and will last at the least maby 70 years another thing when your painting dotn get to close this cause runny paint spots wich show up nast on your truck and spray in burst not just mashing the button ontop btw i did this in the parking lot and painted my entire truck for 40 bucks and its never looked better
