How much would it cost to reattach the side view mirror of a 1998 nissan altima. ?

I was side swiped and the mirror is now dangling. The wires are still functional, but mirror is detached. I was just wondering how much that would cost to fix.

You will need a new mirror painted to match and where the mirror is mounted to the door straightened out. Other wise you'll have a wind noise. You might luck out and find one in the auto recycler's place and even more lucky if the color matches..Automobile Recyclers (they take offence if you call them junk yards or wrecking yards)  Duct tape only will make a mess You can clip one wire at a time as close to the mirror as possable to keep that dangle from denting the door any more. That mirror really hurt when I hit it with my leg on my bicycle! and who ever heard of a auto recycler dog.

about $200 at a shop but if you go to a junkie and fix it yourself, about $50.
