I need to get a small U-Haul truck with one of those things that allows you to tow your car behind the truck. Then move approximately 1300 miles away (Maine to Illinois). Do they charge by the mile if you're going that far? I want to bring my things with me, and my car won't make it that far anyway. It's really important that I bring it with me though. If anyone has done this before or knows about it, I would really appreciate some answers! Thanks guys, you're the best!

  1. u-haul bases its rates of supply and demand just depends on how much equipment your area has versus where your taking it and the demand that they have for that equipment i have seen  the price drop by 500 by picking a drop of city 20 miles a way

worked for u-haul for 5 years

  2. uhaul.com has everything there. I rented from nola to philly and it was about $1500 but it was a huge truck . I believe they didn't charge per mile.
