  1. im assuming that it is relatively new and in pretty good shape...if i were u i would leave it unless you have significant body damage. i would also be a little more specific when you ask a question like that as you can be led down some bad paths. for example i could tell you under $20 bucks-the price of a couple cans of metallic spray paint lol but obviously u dont want that. but what im trying to say is a 300 dollar paint job is gunna look like sh*** and deface the value of the car. 1500 would probably be a halfway decent paintjob but not even close to show quality. like i said though i would stick with the original color

  2. for an average car it would cost around 1500 ,and for that one to have to change the color on it it might cost a little more than that, they charge extra for changing the color because the do have to paint inside the door jams and under the trunk and hood,so it may cost around 1800 for this one to get it done right ,good luck.

  3. There is no one standard price for all body shops and all colours.

It could cost you as little as $30 for 5 cans of spray paint or it could be thousands of dollars if you want a metallic black paint with a clear coat finish.  Expect to pay more if body work is required at the same time.

  4. A cut rate paint job would be about 500 dollars.

But they use cut rate paint and nothing special for color choices.

A private shop would be in the 800 dollar range.

Now when you get into special paints (pearlesent, iridescent, and metallic) paints the cost will go up fast.

To give you an idea why, I just bought one pint of touch up paint and paid 30 dollars for it (a red). It takes maybe 3 quarts to do a car. Now if I wanted say "Black Cherry) the cost would have almost double that.

It will be easy to invest 1500 dollars in a special paint job. Maybe that is worth it to you, maybe not.

In maters of car finishes, you get what you pay for.

  5. it costs about 300

  6. Don't do it.

First of all, it is going to cost you at least $3,000 if you want a professional job done.  Even $1500 is a cut-rate job.

Secondly, you will never get back the investment of the price you paid for the paint job.

if you ever decide to trade your car in, it will actually be worth less because you painted it.
