1. A house

2. A town

3. A county

4. A tri-county area

5. New york state

6. The united states.

Thank you very much.

  1. Need more information as geographic location of said station determines cost... Wyoming on Am is cheaper than say anywhere near New York City.

    But basics

1 A house is about $200 for a good transmitter and about $100 for a cheap mixer,$100 for a microphone, And about $50 for a good program to run the music ... Direct off the computer I've fed a playlist off say winamp and fed it into a radio and broadcast like that.

2/3/4  All will run you about the same, depends upon the power level of the station only.... But expect a few Million for a average station and add on that either a agreement with a current radio station or you need approval by the federal Government (FCC)

5/6 - Unless you run a network of stations (meaning about $100 million to start) or lease transmitter time (starting usually about $ 1-2 Million a month)  So basically , you can forget it terrestrially...

Sat radio is even worse in the Billions

As BeeBee said, try Internet radio where costs are way cheaper to broadcast to a devoted listening audience
