How much would it cost to send a letter from England to San Fransisco?

The letter will have inside some coins (if that makes any difference)

Could I use more than one stamp in order to cater for the cost?

It depends on the weight, up to 10 gm is 56p up to 20 gm is 81p but you should get it weighed at a post office. You should also note that coins will not be insured unless you use the special International signed for packaging that is also available at the post office signed fo will cost an extra £3.50

I live in England but I was originally from the states so I am always mailing letters back home.  One sheet of A4 paper in an envelope or a greeting card is 81p.  Add an air mail sticker, (you can get these free at the post office) and drop in any mailbox. I always stock up on both- 81p stamps and air mail sticker!

Since you have coins added, I'd use a small CD/DVD mailer and take it to the post office.  Shouldn't cost more than £3.

i'm not sure how much it would cost as such, but to send a basic letter would be maybe about 1 pound (aussie keyboard doesnt have pound sign on it, sorry!) anyway that would be minimum value so try add maybe an extra 90p on it depending on how many coins you will have in it

yer but my friend sent one from austrailia 2 me and it had about 12 stamps on it.t

better go to the post office...it's hard to tell, they have to weigh it---and if it's really important, get it registered

I used to pay about 68pence, for a small light letter..from UK to US

don't put somme con in the letter its best in a little box of you do the postman can be take for him your coins

you weigh your letter in the post office, if it has coins in it i'm sure it will be more expensive.
