How much would it cost total for a new muffler and resonator?

It my first car and that is what it needs...i don't need anything Top of the line just something to silence it and last long.

its a 2002 ford focus two door hatch

The muffler seems like it'll be around $250, and the service depends on your area.  Type your zip code into that site and you can find out how much it'll cost, you can also check out the price for the resonator as well.  Good luck!

I'd get a cheap Magnaflow or something.

edit: oh forgot you mentioned price....you could get one for around $70 new or even less used on ebay.

You could go to some exhaust shop and get it done for less then 50 dollars.

Please stay away from Midas and the like.

But I would plan on some where in the 75 to 100 dollar range that is fit up in a shop specializing in exhaust systems.
