  1. Depends on the deductible and coverages.  If you're 30 and perfectly healthy, a no deductible plan without maternity, vision, or dental, is going to run you around $300 a month.


  2. Considering for a 40 year old alone you could have a plan for as little as $72/month up to $845/month an 'average' isn't going to do you much good.
