14.2hh 15yo appaloosa gelding

Bombproof, jumped up to 1m. Gone to local ribbon days but usually just hacked out with and without company no problem.

Can be lazy and doesn't enjoy dressage. Also has the classical appaloosa personality (cheeky and inquistitive) can be nappy.

Done natural horsemanship and ridden bitless. Has been ridden bridleless too.

Good ground manners.

  1. About £1500 (UK pounds)

  2. $2000 usd

or around £1500 in the uk

  3. Hmmm...The market for selling horses isn't very good right now. Sellers are not getting what they should be able to get for decent horses. It's the economy. To compare your horse to other Appies that are for sale, go to http://www.equine.com

  4. In this economy you could probably get anywhere from 1-3,000 depending on how his personality is and how versatile he is with different leveled riders.

  5. $1000 - $1500 (because lazy and dosen't really like flat work)

    Have a look

  6. 500- 2,000$ depending on location

  7. i agree the "horse market" isnt what it used to be. I got my filly for $100, and a 10 y/o rocky mtn cross gelding for $300 that my 2 year old neice could ride if she wanted.....i have always been told by my old relatives that if a horse gets on the ground and rolls over every time it rolls over is how much its worth. This keeps my mind off worrying about how much my filly is worth , because she done 6 complete turns like a week ago :D

  8. There are quite a number of horses this height range on the market, due to riders coming off them at 17yrs.

Due to jumping, I guess he could still represent in sj and it sounds like he'd be a happy hunter.

Obviously not suitable for ODE which many people would be looking for.

As a coloured horse, he has his own class at shows.

With all this in mind I'd imagine he'd sell between $2 - $3,000 NZD.

Many riders, on a horse this size, would be older and would soon sort out the nappy problems (or think they could).

Lazy can be good and good ground manners are wonderful! Sounds like a nice horse, many at our PC would love to have a quiet mount.

  9. In the monetary sense, any horse is only worth what someone else is ready to pay for it. A dressage horse valued in five figures (tens of thousands) wouldn't be worth five hundred to me because it would be way too advanced for me to ride. Whereas my own horse, who has been with me since age 3 and unbroken, I wouldn't sell if I was offered the price of the above dressage horse for her. She's my friend and always will be and that's priceless.

If I wanted to buy your horse I'd place  the fact that he's sound, a nice safe (but fun) ride and good to handle above any other factors. As I haven't been into buying or selling for a long time, I'd say in the region of £2000, but there are so many things to take into consideration it could vary wildly.

Have lots of fun with him and be glad he's such a loveable guy.

  10. show me a picture coz i can not be sure i want to see a picture plz plz plz!

  11. probably around $1500-2000nzd. : ) The market here is still pretty good.
