I have a 1976 Cutlass Supreme that I haven't driven in 5 years, because the price to fill up the take is so expensive now.

I love that car, and how it can pass anything that needs to be passed, and how it can go fast without effort.

A friend of my Dad's wants to buy it, and use the engine for something else.

How much do you think the car would be worth?

An average price on the internet is around $4,578 but those cars in good condition. This car was in an accident when my brother and I were teens, and he borrowed it and dented the side of it.

So I'm not sure how much taht would decrease it's value.

  1. You said it hasn't been driven in 3 yrs?

When was the last time it was cranked?

    Will the engine turn over?

It's NEVER  a good idea to let a car sit idol for very long.

Alot of damage can be done internally.

Being dented from an accident greatly reduces the value.

Since it has sat for 5 yrs, any rust?

If so, that decreases the price even more.

Get how ever much you can for whatever you can off of it and count your blessings that your getting that much.

Piece it out and tow off the rest will get you the highest price over all.

Ebay is an option, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.

  2. They don't make these anymore so don't ruin it by removing the engine. You could sell it easy on eBay. I expect it has a 350 V8 which is a really common engine and easy to find. You could post it on Craigslist for free if you don't want to pay the eBay fee. I hate seeing classic cars get robbed of their running gear in this fashion. Give someone a chance to bring it back to life. Even with damage, it still has value. ADDED>>>>>>>>The 455 is a desirable option. Keep the car together.
