We are building a new home. We have not yet consulted a construction company. The house plan that we like has 1989 sqare feet heated. We decided to push all 4 exterior walls outward by 2 feet to create a little more space. I was curious as to how much the square feet would increase by doing so. The original plan is 64'-2" from side to side and 49'0" from front to back. The two extra feet will make the home 66'2" from side to side and 51'0" from front to back. We are just curious. Not sure if we will stick with this particular plan, but would like to know how much the square footage would increase due to pushing an exterior wall out by 2 or more feet.
