  1. Depends on where you are studying. Private school, university, "grand ecole", etc.

Studying at a university is free. You have to pay a registration fee (160 euros for a bachelors degree), student union fees, library fees, medical insurance (students get a VERY good deal - it's worth becoming a student just for that, but only available up to age 26), travel card, etc.  500 euros  a year should cover all of these.

Private institutions and "grandes ecoles" can cost much more. The very prestigious (and competitve) Political Science Institute charge 1000 euros a year for tuition (but offer reductions for poorer students) and are planning to increase it soon. Some institions charge up to a few thousand euros a year.

  2. i've also thought about studying in france, the american university of paris, and i'd say...its pretty expensive...so i changed my mind to thessaloniki greece!!: ) good luck

  3. To study French, or in French?

    For language study, try:

    - alliance francaise

    - ecole accord

I can vouch for the latter ... a bit pricey, but a decent school. I've been to the former abroad, but never in Paris itself.
