  1. Just because this is a circle y saddle I dont think that tis saddle is really worth 2000 dollars. Do you?

It looks like good quality, but there are other good quality saddles out, for much cheaper. I bought a nice leather saddle 2 years ago, and I use it 3-5 times a week and it shows no signs of use. I bought it for 250 on ebay, I would look there :)

    good luck :)

  2. i would sell it for $900 to $1000 dollars but i dont ride western i mostly ride english but i do have an idea about saddle. thats what i would sell it for.

  3. One of the vendors at the last three horse shows has a beautiful Circle Y similar to your picture.  At $800, it's not moving.

  4. Looks like a nice saddle but if she purchased this saddle for $2,000 then you should offer less.   Also, is your horse worth more than the saddle?  If so, sell the horse to someone else and keep your money for a saddle of your choice.

  5. I think between 600 and 1500. But hey you never know how much a saddle is gonna cost but that amount is just my opinion. :)

  6. Yes, it was probably around $2000 for a good Circle Y pleasure saddle with silver and partial tooling...however that was probably the price after sales tax..here is a very similiar saddle (look at the Silver Fresh Saddle about a third of the way down the page)

Unfortunately, used Circle Y saddles don't have the best resale...you could probably get $1000 for it.  checkout www.tacktrader.com

  7. Saddlemakers offer different grades of saddles, and this is not one of Circle Y's higher end saddles.  I have seen ones like it collecting dust for years in local shops (Midwest and Colorado) for $500 or less.  She may have paid that because someone told her it was a Circle Y, as if that alone triples the value. It also looks like someone may have shortened the fenders for a petite rider or child, so you might want to check that out, especially if you plan to pass it on, as that will significantly reduce resale.
