How much would wood for a quarter pipe cost?

I was just curious because I was thinking about building one.

  1. I'm sure you mean a half-pipe, a quarter-pipe will just send you into the ground!! It depends on how high the two ends go up, and how wide you wish to make it.  A nice 1/2 pipe has 8' high ends, and somewhere to stop/land at the top.  And is 8 or 12 feet wide.

    They use alot of wood, more for support than you see from above.

    I'd guess about $500 for wood, another $60 for multiple coats of weather-proof resin, or polyurethane.

    Nice project.
