And cage, food, running balls, and many more accessories? I was asking $180, but everyone is telling me they can't afford that. I need to sell my chins quick, unfortunately, because I have developed a serious allergy to them.

How much would you ask for?

  1. Well, it depends on the colors and how big the cages is, quality of the food, etc etc.

If they are standard grey Chins and a large, I would ask maybe $170. If they are any other color, then I would ask about $200.

If people can't afford it, that's their problem, not yours. Something will come up. Chinchillas alone cost at least $100 a piece and the cage and accessories were probably another $200 so that is a good deal. People expect to get pets for cheap..just because not everything is brand new.

Also, how old are they? If they are older then I would lower the price but if they are babies (under a year) then raise it.

$180 is NOT too much to be asking for a pair of chinchillas and all accessories. We paid spent around $600 when we first got our Chins.

If you are really that desperate to get rid of them, lower the price a little each day ( don't go below $100) and something will turn up.

Have you posted them on http://www.craigslist.com or http://www.kijiji.com?

    Good luck.

  2. It would depend on how big the cage is. Caring for Chinchillas can be expensive so I would not ask alot. Maybe ask 100.00 but make sure they know what is involved with the care of a chinchilla
