  1. Probably not. What do you mean by food. Eating in restaurants or chiringuitos or out of supermarkets.Alcohol is cheap here in Spain but everything else is going up in price.

When people are on holiday they always spend more than they intend to. They eat more than they intend to and it's more than that with alcohol. 100 euros won't go very far I'm afraid.

  2. For food and alcohol, I assume your travel is covered, too?  I would think 100€ might take you two to three days, depending on how much and how expensively you drink.  I think in the parts of spain I was in last year, the drinks, cubalibres, cost about 3 or 4€ each.  A beer on a patio could run as much as 5€.  Cocktails would run you more.  Full meals about 5 - 10 €,  depending on where you go.  Low end would be going to the market and buying a picnic.

  3. I've just got back from the Costa Del Sol, and I was surprised at the prices.

I expected everything to be really expensive, but it wasn't that bad.

A few tips on how to make 100 Euros stretch.

1, Look for bars that the tourists don't use, if the locals are in there it will be cheap.

2, Eat in for lunch. The supermarkets were selling various baguettes that you could take back to your room for a fraction of the price.

3, The hotels and bars all have 'Happy Hours' if you look enough. Plan a route taking as many in as poss.

4, Have a good drink in the room before you go out.

  4. It would be wrong to say it can't be done because, of course, it can.  If you are budgeting for a full 7 days that's only just over 14 euros per day, whilst if in fact your stay is only 6 full days it gives you 16.66 euros a day to play with.

How much do you eat and drink?   A breakfast can be had for between 2.50 - 3.00 euros, whilst you can have a 3 course Chinese meal (menu del dia) for around 5 euros.  In the Spanish supermarkets, a litre of San Miguel, Mahou, Cruzcampo or their own brand of beer (cerveza) will be under 1 euro, whilst you can get a good cheap bottle of white wine ( like Emperado) for around the 1.50 euro mark.   Also in the supermarkets buy the largest and cheapest bottle of water, which should then last you the week.

These prices are typical for the Benalmadena/Arroyo area of the Costa del Sol.

Go for it and enjoy it.
