It depends are you trying to buy a normal goldfish or another variety of goldfish. A normal goldfish the type everyone thinks of when they hear goldfish is incredibly cheap normally only a dollar or less, but another type of goldfish can cost a bit morew but never an outrageous number.

Oh, I don't know.  Gold fish are pretty expensive.  I'd probably have to buy the copper fish, or at least the silver ones.
