Question:

How much would you charge for doing this?

Okay, so today, I power-washed my neighboors house. I washed the whole backside, which was 80 feet long, washed part of her sidewalk, and about 10 feet of the front of her house. I spent about 3 hours doing this, and used about 7 dollars worth of gas. How much should I charge her? I'm just scared of suggesting way more than what she was thinking, because then I will look greedy.

Thanks!

  1. well, this is what i would do!  Take her and tell her exactly what you did, and even show her part of the house and go from there personally I would charge about 150.00 to 200.00 its really up to you..also how good of a friend is she?

  2. times your 7 dollars by 2.5 lets call it 20 dollars it took you 3 hours at lets say 10 dollars an hour hey presto 50 bucks job done thats how i would work it out anyway and thats not a bad price either

  3. she would pay a service company that did that $150 +

I would think as a neighbor that 75 on the low 100 on the high sounds right.

don't forget the ware and tare on your PW and set up and clean up

also remember she binifits from have you to do it. if your not happy with what you made then will you do work for her again.. make it enough to be worth doing again or you are cheating you and her for future work

  4. just say to her

how much would be good i would say about 40.00 bucks//

  5. Considering that you're not telling us what part of the country you live, I'd say anywhere between $25 and $40.

  6. ask them what is was worth to them

thats what i do so i don't feel dumb

  7. That depends on how good of a friend/neighbor it is. 35-40$ covers your gas, and gives you about 10$ an hour... that's pretty modest. they can always tip you more if they like the work that you did. A professional company may charge upwards of 80$ for this service.

  8. perhaps you should have agreed the price first?

  9. 40 bucks

  10. wow..

i'd say about 50 bucks. 60 if you used your own water.
