  1. first of all... alot of deciding factors play into to this. How many, colored or black-in-white, and size are just a few starter ?'s. I have all my printing done on vistaprint.com they are great.... and cheap!

  2. Start by figuring your direct and indirect costs of making the business cards, for example.  Direct costs would be the paper/card stock, ink, cleaning supplies for cleaning up the press afterwards, etc.  Indirect costs would be depreciation, salaries and benefits, rent, utilities, taxes, etc.  Add all that together.  Then determine what profit margin you want on the order.  Finally, check with your competitors to see what they're charging, so that you're not too high or too low unless you want to be.

I have an acquaintance who owns a print shop who sends most business card orders out because he's found it's easier, and the order is back in 2-3 days.  He designs the card or takes the customer's design, then emails it to a large specialty printer in SoCal who prints cards by the millions.  That printer charges him $15 for 1,000 full color, UV coated cards; he sells them to his customer for $90.

  3. My company uses Reduced Printing (www.reducedprinting.com)

Business cards we get for free, posters are usually $1 each, and they do letterheads and envelopes in full color for about $300 each. They do have an online ordering website with all prices posted, however letterhead and envelopes must be a special order or request because I didn't see it on their site
