And what are your qualifications?

It would go from the utility room to the roof. Over the utility room is a drywall ceiling, and then the attic. The attic has no floor, just unrolled insulation lying on the framework and ceiling below. The roof is about six feet above, and is an ordinary wood roof with ordinary roofing material on it. It's an A-frame house, and the roof is of average steepness, not very steep. If you fall off the roof, you would fall about 9 feet to a concrete patio, and I would give you a free ride to the hospital.

How many hours would it take, and how much do you charge per hour?

Also can you estimate the cost of the materials?

  1. SS venting is $$$expensive$$$.  If you're taking it up for a condensing tankless water heater (or other unit that doesn't have a drain in place already) there would have to be a drain tee installed.

I live in an expensive part of the world - it would be about a grand.  Since I'm not going to do the work, I'm keeping mum about my qualifications.

  2. i would say go to lowes get the parts yourself tell them what your talking abought they will get all the stuff you need a good carpenter gets around 25 to 30 dollars  i would say it would only take 4 or 5 hours to do
