How much would you downgrade Giant's D since Umenyiora is out for season?

I own their defense on my fantasy team as well as the cowboy's defense. considering dropping the giants...

I'd downgrade them a lot. Sucks for the people who drafted in July and early August. They're a mediocre D now; middle of the pack.

The loss of Umenyiora is huge. But, one player does not have that much effect on a defense. Look at the Chargers, possibly losing Shawne Merriman for the whole season. Does that downgrade the defense? Of course. But, how much? There's guys ready to step up and carry the load. So, while the loss of an Umenyiora or a Merriman is a big hit, a good team defense will step up and get the job done.

Besides, if you have the Cowboys as your back-up, you can play the Giants for a couple weeks and bench them if they're not effective. You can then probably find someone else on the waiver wire who started out hot, but that went under everyone's radar.

How would you feel if you dropped the Giants and they didn't miss a beat on defense? Especially if you lose to the guy who picks them up?
