A lot of times, golfers will knock their balls so far that they go into the water. Last year, 93 were tapped into the water at some particular tournament.

How much would you pay for one of these recovered balls, if they showed up on Ebay or somewhere?

  1. Very little value. The main reason is it would be very hard to document the actual owner of the ball. Most golfers just put dots or symbols on their balls to distinguish them from the rest of the players in his group. Some of the PGA golfer's do sign balls and give away. I take students to work at the FBR Open each year and the golfers they work with usually give them a signed ball. These are "priceless" since there is a memory attached. There isn't really a market for this type of ball. However there is a market for recovered balls. Most good course contract with a use ball seller to dive their lakes.

  2. i'd be ready to pay US $10 for it and you?

  3. There is little value for a famous golfer's ball which was hit into the water.  Since it was a poor shot why would you consider it as valuable?

  4. i'd only pay for a ball if it the ball that one of the top 5 golfers in the world hit to win a tournament or something like that.  like phils putt at the masters a few years back.  even then i wouldn't fork over much that's for sure.  other than that, i wouldn't pay anything.

  5. I HAVE THREE, GIVER TO ME BY NICK PRICE... STILL IN THE SLEEVE... WANT TO BUY THEM??? IMPRINTED WITH HIS NAME...

  6. Maybe a couple of bucks, but only it was a bad shot from one of the worlds best like Tiger Woods.

  7. Depends, on who the golfer is and if the ball came with a certificate to prvoe.
