  1. The GP trainer who clinics with my barn charges $50/hour, which I think is very cheap, especially considering that she always runs long by 20 minutes or more!

  2. Nothing, because I'm not particularly interested in dressage! :D

The best instructor I know charges £100 (close to $200) for 45 mins. There are queues of people willing to pay it, over and over again. I get mates rates, but it's still not cheap.

If you're at a level where such a high trainer will be of benefit to you, it's priceless. If you're not, then someone far cheaper will be adequate.

  3. It sounds extremely expensive. Regular training out here, you go to them, is anywhere from $30-$45 an hour. So I would say $80ish if you wanna go cheap. Though probably more. Are they supplying the horse? or are you? If you are, is your horse trained and ready to take the training you need as a rider from this instructor? If the trainer is training you AND your horse, I would say $100 or more.

  4. depending on who it is those kinds of lessons go for 50 to 125$ an hour.

i am in maryland and that is what officially ranked and well known trainer/riders charge for lessons or ride time at their clinics.

ps.  it would be more like 30 to 40 minutes...becasue most horses and riders would not be able to handle a whole hour of it.  that would just be too much.  she will let you know when it has been enough for the day.

  5. I have a grand prix dressage trainer that comes here one weekend a month and she charges $75 for 45 minutes

  6. Well it depends on who it is. If they are very inspirational and have good sportsmanship I would pay more. I would probably pay $100 an hour for someone who could teach me two things. How to become a better rider and how to have a good attitude whether you win or lose a horse show. :)

  7. Hello!

Well a normal lesson (in Canada) would be $25, so from a Grand Pix Dressage trainer it would probably be..ALOT.

Sorry i cant answer your question because many different trainersa pay at many different prices. So it depends on you, your horse and were your riding ect.

    Good Luck**

  8. i take lessons with a grand prix jumper and its only about $50 an hour but it really depends on who it is

  9. I train with Olympic Level riders, and they range from 125 an hour to 300.

  10. 30.00$ What can they teach you in a hour?? Not much.
