I am not selling my horse because i love him but i just wanted to know.

My horse is a 4 year old quarter horse paint. he is black and white. He has a very upbeat walk and he sets his head beautifully. When he trots he sets his head and listens to your legs very well. he circles and goes over poles. he stops when you pull. His caner is fast but he looks beautiful when he canters. he sets his head really good. i can jump him about two feet and i am working on higher. he jumps very good. he will canter down hill. he is a good trail horse that doesn.t spook at anything. you can catch him wonderfully and you can just leave him and he wont move. he will let you put a saddle on him. he will stand for you to get on him. he has won a few canter classes with 12 people in the class and he won a few halter and walk trot classes. he would be good for a beginner rider at the trot but his canter his fast. so he would need a more xperienced rider for the canter. just a person that can slow him down

  1. No more than $3,000!

good luck xoxo sounds like a great horse!

  2. Sometimes people make the mistake of thinking paints, just because of their coat color, that have no training are very valuable. I've had people try to sell me 3 year olds that are amazingly colored but havent been broke and have no substantial bloodlines for up to 6500.00 which is insane... Even though a horse can jump it has to be a refined jump, meaning the horse can think for himself over fences, before there is any value there.. I love paints to death and yours sounds nice but i wouldnt pay any more than 1,500.

  3. 1500-3000.

The horse market is crappy right now, even the good horses are cheap.

  4. Hello!!! People need to see a picture of the horse

  5. 6,000 is what you could sell him for, if you are smart about how you sell him.

Anyhorse can be worth something, especially if he could be a kids horse. knowing you live in Ohio, it isn't as big of a horse state when it comes to showing paints or quarter horses. Just have to be good about how you word it. Anyone will pay a price for what they really like. Sounds like he could be a really good short sturrips horse for a beginner hunter. ^-^

  6. Around 2,750. He sounds well trained and very proud. And some one could probably win alot of shows with him. But with thee value of horses being so low, you probably couldn't expect that much, so place an add in a local vet office, if they'll let you. See how many offers you get and take the best one.

  7. Seriously not more than $1000. Horse prices are low right now and he doesn't sound very well trained. I'm guessing he isn't registered (since you said he is a quarter horse paint?). Quater horses and paints are two seperate breeds (even though they have a lot of the same bloodlines). If he isn't registered in either assoc. he would be a grade pinto. All the stuff you have been doing with him is very basic and he doesn't sound very well broke at all.

  8. Well I wouldn't buy him because my next horse needs to jump over 3 foot 9. But i like what I hear. If I were a beginner rider I think I would pay $5,000 for him if I had too.... maybe... but like i said i need a higher jumper and like you said, he's not for sale. :)

  9. i couldnt give you an answer unless i saw a picture and video...i would have to see his conformation and judge what potential i see in him.

  10. No more than $3,000.

Sounds like he still needs a lot of training.

  11. idk but he sounds like a really good horse

  12. Not more than $1500 around here I bet (Wyoming).

  13. It sounds like you have a really great horse.  The value of a horse depends alot on your location. In a state like New Mexico, they are a dime a dozen.  They have more value in an area where horses are not as abundent.

  14. Depends on your arean. You can get horses like that for free in my area but I would put him anywhere between $500 and $2500.

  15. With the horse market being SO bad, he could be anywhere from $500 to $2500 in our area. Is he registered? Is he a TRUE black and white or really dark brown? What are his bloodlines? I can get a well bred reg. APHA that is trained for about $1500 or less around here.
