I'm selling my wedding dress(getting divorced, doubt my kids will ever want it because the marriage ended in divorce):

I bought the dress for $350, how much should I sell it for? How much would you pay for it?

  1. 50

  2. $120

  3. $100

  4. I really like that dress :)

You won't get much for it, I would think about $50-75 because its too simple for most people and most women want floor length gowns.

If you aren't bothered about the money and just want to get rid of it then maybe you could consider it to a wedding dress charity so someone who can't afford a dress can use it

  5. You will be doing good if you get 20% of what you paid for it.

In which case (if it were me), I would be tempted to preserve it . . . . just in case a daughter, daughter-in-law, or granddaughter did want to wear it.

You may have bad memories . . . but they will not have the bad memories attached to it.  One of them may really want to wear it.

Or you can always donate the dress here:

  6. Do you live in an area that has a program to collect dresses for underpriveleged girls to go to the prom? If so consider donating it and taking the tax write off....or a Goodwill donation. Seriously, you won't get much for it because it is more of a 'casual' dress and with it being organza it won't dye well either.

Depending upon the age of your children, maybe see if someone in the family can take it apart and use the fabric for a christening gown for your future grandchildren.

  7. i would probably only pay $75-$100 for it.  its cute though.  i agree with some people on here you could dye it and wear it for anything since its not too fancy smancy

  8. the length is too short for most weddings.  But, it could be dyed and worn as a cute and nice strapless dress.  $75.

  9. It is a nice dress.  Not what most would consider a Wedding dress due to the length and style.

It would really depend on finding the right person-size, shape, what occasion will they be using it for.  Most consignment shops or Goodwill would sell it between the prices of $25 - $75.  Again, you'd just have to find the right person or shop.

  10. Nothing, because if you paid $350 it must be a 14W to 26W.  Try Ebay. It's a pretty dress, it should sell.

  11. I don't think I would pay over $50.  It's casual, not too fancy, no lace. And it's been worn before.

  12. about $200.00

  13. Go to ebay, and sell it with low open price (like $20) and hopefully people would be intrigued to keep on bidding.

  14. Try www.shellyleppertdesigns.com, they are an online formal consignment and wedding shop. They carry new and used gowns. You could try and consign it with them.

  15. Take it to a re-sell shop; they'll split the $ with you but you won't have to do anything.
