  1. Still the same, all depends on your preference. Are you going to camp, to be in an 4* hotel or in a no* one, do you want to eat sandwich sometimes or do you want to go to the restaurant for all meals... ?

In a medium scale we can say :

for food : 30€ max. per day per person

for accomodation : it can be between 10 to 60€ per night per person (it can be more too if you want !)

for sightseeing : difficult to say because I don't live near Nice, but looking at landscape is free !

but I know a possibilities that could make you have a really good stay there for a very low budget and much more interesting time. have a look here : http://www.couchsurfing.com/

  2. Passports are around $200 Australian dollars

Plane tickets return would be almost $2000

Eating would be alot, France is a very exspencive place, but a beautiful one also, I would say 3-4 Thousand Australian dollars would be good, You dont want to be cought short for cash !

Have a good trip if you end up going

  3. Currently, you are loosing 23% of your US dollar against the Euro. Maybe it will be higher later in the year, but at present, you loose.

Plane from US to Paris and again Paris to Nice $1,500.

Plane from US to Paris and train to Nice $ 850.

    Passport & photos $ 100.00.

    Sightseeing, ? , $400.00.

Food, depending on how mush & what you eat $ 700.00

I would count on at least $ 5,000.
