  1. It all depends on you.  Australia has reasonable prices.  It's not as expensive as England or United States.  Look up lonely planet and plan your trip.  Also, if you are under 26 then you can stay at Youth Hostels.  They're very nice and cheap.

Use the currency converter to get an exact figure in your currency...

  2. The cost of living in Australia is a lot less than England.  (assuming you are in England).

Food, Drink and Accommodation is very reasonably priced.

    Does that help at all?

  3. I went for 3 months and spent a couple of weeks in Cairns.

At 1 place, all food and accomodation costs were included in my booking, made in the UK.

So there was little to need money for, apart from drinking out.

Otherwise, I found good hotels cost from about £55 -£80 a night and food is much cheaper than the UK. Assume a meal for 6 or 7 pounds and cheaper beer etc. Central Sydney is dearer than most everywhere else.

Look on a hotel booking site to check your area, at the appropriate time of year. Summer prices are higher than at other times.

    Good luck! Rob

  4. dep what you want to do... more details please

  5. Try MAS...they do some very n cheap packages....very cheap flights as ....Lee Travels

  6. Speak to a travel agent, it will depend where you are going and what you want to see when you are there and what time of the year you want to fly.

Ignore AiryFairy - it IS Worth going for two weeks if you only have two weeks to spare.  Australia is a wonderful country.

  7. If your question includes the cost of accomodation the website australia-hotels.com.au will give u a fair cross section of prices according to what u want.

Foodwise a breakfast at anywhere u stay would cost in the region of $15 each whereas dinner would be around $30 each and if u wanted a half decent wine as well it would be about another $30 a bottle. For lunch u could probably drop into somewhere like Macca's and fill up for $7

If you're looking at a rental car check out the Avis or Budget websites for pricing.A litre of fuel costs between $1 & $1.20 in the cities depending on where and when.In the country u could easily pay anything between $1.50-$2 depending on how far out u go.

If you're more into daytrips on buses the Gray Line website might give u some info.A half or full day trip will usually run in the region of $50-$100.

Unlike some places Australia doesn't automatically add on a surcharge for tourists. The prices are the same for us as well

  8. Its not worth going for two weeks, Id say go for a month, flights are around 500-600 pounds I think, not sure about accommodation, dont like to state the obvious but try a travel website.
