My man earns 20,000 a year, I earn 5,000 plus I have a student bursary of 9,000 a year. We also get 10,000 a year in tax credits?

    Approx 2.5 times income.


  2. student bursary doesn't count

    1/4 to 1/3 of income, probably on lower side

    It's best you made an appointment with a bank and do a quote only not an application.

  4. If you have a clean credit history, you can get up tp 4.9 times your combined yearly (before tax)  income.

  5. we were offered, 88,000.  i earn 24+ and my hubby is at uni.  bursarys do not count which is really annoying.  good luck, u might get offered more, we only went to lloyds tsb to see about a mrtgage so i'd say shop around.
