How must I go about drawing a Speed Test Disc for 1000rpm?

This is needed for attaching to the drum of a washing machine to set the correct speed

  1. It depends on where on the drum you can monitor it, and what you will monitor with.

    Maybe you have an optical tachometer with the necessary accuracy in the range of say 100-200Hz. Your target 1000rpm = 16.67Hz if one pulse per revolution, so outside the accuracy range. Put a disc with 10 equi-spaced contrasting stripes on it and it will give 10 x 16.67 = 166.7Hz at 1000rpm.
