How my acer xd1160 projector run in 720p?

acer xd1160 projector has only 3 ports (s video, VGA, and composite) how do i make it run in 720p if it doesn't have a HDMI port? do i need a alternate cable to do so? if yes, what cable? Thanks!

  1. It accepts a 480i or 480p signal, so you can connect to any of the three inputs and the internal video processor should scale the image to 720p. You won't get a great picture from the composite. S-video may be a bit better, and the VGA would probably give the best results direct from a laptop or PC.

    If necessary you can (probably) use a component to VGA cable/adapter to connect to a cable/satellite box or DVD player.

    Note this is an 800x600 pixel native resolution projector, so outputting HD will involve scaling and the picture won't be as good as a true HD (720 or greater) projector.
