Help!

My new acer Aspire laptop is doing weird things!

When I am typing I mistakenly hit the (dollar key) - as it's placed in the bottom left hand corner next to enter and shift - and it takes me to google. ie; it navigates away from my email and I lose my message!!!

Next to it is the (euro key) and when I hit that it goes to another of my favorite websites... same thing, lost the message!

Why why why does this happen???

I keep loosing emails that I've spent AGES typing just because I hit those keys by accident.

How can I turn them off and get them to act like regular keys???

  1. you need to turn them off.

im not sure where its exactly located but just look on the all programs and look for anything that have to do with utility and look for the keyboard utility or something that controls the key on the keyboard.

once you have it open, turn all the navigation keys off. there should be shortcuts like web browser, email, media etc etc.

    hope this helps

  2. Those are preset computer favorites

Check out your manual to learn how to change the presets to your liking
