I downloaded a pretty big movie that is out in theaters right now, and I recieved a letter from my ISP. Apparently the copyright agency of the studio that produced the movie contacted my ISP, and they contacted me. I was wondering if I continue to DL torrents, but I use an encryption what are the chances that I will be caught. Will the moniter my bandwidth usage. And If I am using a encryption how could it be traced back to me?

How so........ Will my ISP moniter my bandwidth and sell me out. It doesn't make any sense to me that they would get rid of a customer like that, and is the Studio really going to waste all that time to bring down a 19 year old kid with no money to his name. The could take everything I own and get like 2 grand tops.

Who is your ISP?  Can you get a better one in your state? We use bit torrents all the time.  Our ISP has never said anything.
