There are no fixed election dates.The prime Minister can call an election at any time,but must do so before the 5th year.Minority governments can fall at any time and cause an election.Majority goverments last about 41/2 years with out an election.Minority governments can last 6months to a couple of years.

Federal elections are held at least every 5 years. You must be 18 and a Canadian citizen to vote. They are held on a Monday or on a Tuesday if Monday is a holiday.
