I know the skirt is given in Basic, but would you tell me how often we're required to wear the skirt? Is it an option or a requirement to wear it? how often?

  1. Right now, we only wear blues on formal occaissions, because we're warriors, etc.

You will have to wear a skirt to semi-formal events, usually dining-in, dining out, etc.  If you are bothered by your legs or something, you might want to invest in a mess-dress, it will set you back about $300 but it looks cool as h**l and the skirt is floor length with a discret slit up the back for movement.

Some career fields, like maintenance, wear blues once every 3-5 years (on the events listed above).

  2. Check your 101 card for the dress. Or search for coustoms and courtecies.

  3. During basic you wear the cameo uniforms. Dress uniforms come into play the graduation week. I believe the females decide on what uniforms to wear, or the TI does it for them. Rarely did the females wear a skirt, may-be for graduation that's all I remember. As for when you get to your job there's either a uniform of the day or you wear what you want. I know most females at my base wore pants.

  4. You dress according to the daily dress code.

  5. Females never have to wear the skirt with their blues. They can wear pants instead.

  6. command discretion.. each CO has the option to set policy and declare what uniform is to be worn
