  1. ummmmm weird

unless the student was a college student or at least 18

I guess if anyone is good-looking and the proper age, you might fantasize wbout them

  2. This strikes me as interesting because you never hear about these things happening in private schools. My algebra teacher at my previous school (home schooled now) had an affair with a student. They gave her the option to quit or be fired. She got fired.

  3. nada

  4. Obviously, this is ALWAYS wrong!

I had a high school teacher who married a student. Everybody talked about how creepy it was. However, he was in his first year teaching and only 21 when he met her and she was a senior. They ended up getting married a few years later.

Professionally, it is just wrong, wrong, wrong. Morally, it depends on whether or not she was 18 when they started dating. It was only a 3-4 year age difference, so that part isn't so creepy. It is relatively human but unprofessional.

What's really disgusting is people like Mary Kay Letourneau who are actual pedophiles.

I hope no teacher ever fantasizes about a student, especially one that is a minor, but unfortunately, it probably does happen. There are pedophiles and dysfunctional people in every profession and some of them do slip through to teaching.

My nasty ex husband had a p**n star girlfriend who used drugs and was earning her credentials WHILE she was making p**n and doing drugs. She ended up teaching young children. I wish all teachers had morals and integrity, but obviously they don't. She no longer has credentials (you can search online,) but I'm not sure if it is because they found out about her behavior or she just didn't get permanent credentials.

  5. The media blows every teacher/student story so out of proportion that the public thinks the schools are some dating coffee bar. It is not a common occurrence for teacher and student to date.

Who can speak for every teacher and know if they ever fantasized about students? I was a substitute teacher and just didn't because I didn't do it. I had and have a code of ethics and it was not something I thought much about.

  6. I feel like most teachers I work with are completely unattracted to their students for many reasons, but the greatest one being that they see them as their children that need to learn from them.  They don't usually find them attractive at all.  Most likely, the media attention on the few random cases were so ever-exaggerated and prolonged via court trials and pregnancies or whatnot that people think it happens all the time.  The truth is that it doesn't because pedophiles or people attracted to younger people (i.e. students) are more likely to be easily profile-able before they ever get a degree as a teacher.

  7. I would under stand if the teacher was young, working at a college campus around the same age as the students. But if the teacher was older and fantasizing on younger kids i would say  "bring that teacher to jail he/she is a  pervert".
